Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command, conducted a crucial two-day visit to Air Force Station Jaipur from December 12 to 13, 2025. His primary objective was to assess the operational readiness of the station in light of its assigned missions.
During his visit, Air Marshal Kapoor received comprehensive briefings on both key operational and administrative facets of the facility. This allowed him to evaluate the station’s preparedness to undertake various missions, a critical component in the current security climate. Emphasizing the importance of operational efficiency, Kapoor engaged with personnel, underscoring the necessity for maintaining high standards of professionalism and readiness in an evolving security landscape.
In addition to his operational review, Air Marshal Kapoor made a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan. This meeting served to reinforce the Indian Air Force’s commitment to fostering strong civil-military relations and enhancing collaboration with state authorities.
The visit culminated in a formal ceremony where Air Marshal Kapoor presented a commendation on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff to Shri Biju George Joseph, an IPS officer. This recognition was in honor of Joseph’s unwavering and proactive support during Operation Sindoor. The commendation highlighted his significant contributions and the critical role of inter-agency cooperation in bolstering national security efforts.
The visit not only reinforced the operational capabilities of the Air Force Station Jaipur but also exemplified the importance of mutual support and collaboration between various governmental bodies in addressing national security challenges.
