The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admission form for Sainik School on November 7, 2023. Students can fill out the Sainik School form 2024 online on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/. The last date to submit the AISSEE form 2024 is December 16, 2023.
AISSE 2024
AISSEE 2024 covers admission to Class VI and IX of Sainik Schools and Class VI of approved New Sainik Schools for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates can apply for AISSEE 2024 “Online” only on the website exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE. The Application Form other than online mode will not be accepted. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Application form is common for admission to both Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools.
AISSEE 2024 covers admission for the academic year 2024-25 to:-
(a) Class VI and Class IX of the Sainik Schools and
(b) Class VI of the New Sainik Schools
Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). The admission of candidates will be carried out on the basis of e-counselling as per Merit List of AISSEE 2024, medical fitness approved by competent medical authorities and verification of original documents.
AISSEE 2024 is common for those who are seeking admission to Sainik Schools and those who are seeking admission to approved New Sainik Schools. Both have to appear in AISSEE 2024 and qualify for admission to Sainik Schools or approved New Sainik Schools.
DATE OF AISSEE-2024:
AISSEE 2024 will be held on 21 Jan 2024. (Sunday)
(a) For admission to Class VI: From 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm
(b) For admission to Class IX: From 02:00 pm to 5:00 pm
The schedule will remain unaltered even if the date of the exam is declared a Public Holiday

•A candidate can choose any of the above languages irrespective of school applied or. Option of medium of Question Paper should be carefully chosen while filling in the Application Form. The option once exercised cannot be changed.
•Candidates opting for English or Hindi would be provided bilingual Exam Booklet (i.e., in English and Hindi).
•Candidates opting for regional languages would be provided Exam Booklet in the language opted by the candidate in their application form and English.
•In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version (except for the Language section questions) shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.

PASSING MARKS FOR ADMISSION
A candidate is eligible for admission to the Sainik Schools, if he/ she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2024. However, admission will be based on e- counselling as per the merit list of AISSEE – 2024, medical fitness and verification of requisite documents.
However, no minimum marks are prescribed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category. They will be admitted on the basis of inter-se merit at the Entrance Examination within their respective categories, subject to their meeting the eligibility requirements, medical fitness and verification of requisite documents.
RESERVATION CRITERIA FOR EXISTING 33 SAINIK SCHOOLS:
•67% of the seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in the State/ UT where the Sainik School is located.
•33% of the seats are reserved for candidates from Other States and Union Territories (UT)
Within each Category of Home State/ UT and Other States/ UT quota, seats will be reserved on the following lines:
(a) 15% of the seats are reserved for the category Scheduled Caste (SC),
(b) 7.5% for the category Scheduled Tribe (ST) and
(c) 27% for the category Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy layer (OBCNCL) as per the central list.
•Out of the balance 50.50% of the seats in the Home State/ UT and Other States/ UT quota, 25% of the seats are reserved for the wards of defence (Serving personnel of Indian Army/Indian Airforce/ Indian Navy) personnel and ex-servicemen.
New Sainik School Admission 2024
•The only class offered at the recently approved New Sainik schools is Class 6.
•40% route: 40% of seats in AISSEE 2024 will only be filled based on student rank. No Domicile/Category reservation is considered.
•60% route: There will be 60% of seats filled by students enrolled in approved NSSs. The positions will be filled based on the rank achieved in the school-wise merit list. No Domicile/Category reservation is considered
Sainik School Syllabus 2024
•The AISSEE 2024 syllabus for Class 6 & 9 is prescribed by the Sainik school society. Sainik School Admission 2024 test syllabus includes the CBSE Class 5th and CBSE Class 8th syllabus for the AISSEE Class 6th & Class 9th exam, respectively.
•For the Class 9 syllabus, students need to cover Mathematics, English, Science, History, Civics, and Geography.
Class 6 syllabus for Mathematics comprises topics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers, fractions and decimals etc. For English, topics like composition, tenses, synonyms and antonyms and others.
