The Amogh Division, part of the Sapta Shakti Command, has successfully wrapped up a groundbreaking Services Selection Board (SSB) preparation capsule designed to nurture the next wave of military leaders. This initiative provided an immersive experience for students from Army Public School (APS) Jaipur and APS Sriganganagar, focusing on familiarizing them with the demanding SSB process, which serves as a vital entry point for prospective candidates aiming to join the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Military Academy (IMA).
Over the course of five days, the program simulated a real-time SSB selection environment, emphasizing the development of discipline, determination, and self-confidence among the students. Unique to this training was the personalized feedback offered by seasoned assessors, enabling participants to pinpoint and refine their leadership skills. The curriculum included an array of interactive group tasks, psychological assessments, and communication exercises structured to mirror the actual SSB testing framework.
Adding significant weight to this initiative, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of the Sapta Shakti Command, conducted a review of the operational readiness of the Amogh Division. His visit to forward areas, including interactions with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Sriganganagar, highlighted the crucial role of such programs in enhancing inter-agency coordination and fostering leadership development.
APS Sriganganagar, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) since 1996 and having delivered its inaugural Class XII batch in 2005, has a strong track record of academic excellence. The collaboration with the Army through this SSB preparation capsule underscores a mutual commitment to equipping students with the necessary skills for a future in the armed forces.
This initiative has been praised for its innovative approach to military mentorship and training. By merging practical experience with professional guidance, the capsule represents a significant advancement in the Indian Army’s ongoing mission to inspire, train, and prepare capable young leaders ready to serve the nation.
