The recently concluded ARMEDiCON 2025 at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune showcased a remarkable advancement in military medical practices with the launch of the “Yodha Rakshak Bachav Kit Challenge.” Taking place from January 28 to 30, this event was organized under the auspices of the Office of the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), with a focus on sparking innovation in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) among various Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) units.
The challenge was designed to encourage participating teams to develop adaptive solutions and practical applications relevant to the challenges of modern battlefields. This initiative marks a significant effort to enhance the effectiveness of medical responses in combat situations, emphasizing the critical need for swift and efficient medical care in the theater of operations.
Throughout the three-day conference, AFMC’s strong commitment to medical excellence was evident. The event featured faculty members and cadets engaging in interactive role-plays and panel discussions that highlighted essential soft skills, safe medical practices, and a patient-centered approach to care. These discussions underscored the adherence of AFMS to high standards of medical preparedness while reinforcing the importance of continuing education in healthcare delivery within military contexts.
