In a vibrant ceremony held at Pallel, Kakching District, Assam Rifles launched the National Integration Tour (NIT) as part of its broader initiative, Operation Sadbhavana. The tour, which will take participants from Tengnoupal to Delhi-Dehradun via Kohima, aims to cultivate national unity and promote cultural exchanges among the youth of the region.
The event commenced with a warm welcome speech that set an inviting tone for the proceedings. Following this, the Commanding Officer addressed the gathering, and students, along with their teachers, shared enthusiastic remarks that reflected their excitement for the upcoming journey. The flag-off ceremony was graced by dignitaries, Assam Rifles personnel, school staff, students, and their guardians, creating an atmosphere filled with inspiration and anticipation.
The tour features a total of 28 participants, comprising 17 boys and 11 girls aged between 15 and 21 years. These young individuals were briefed on the objectives of the tour, which emphasize the celebration of India’s rich heritage while promoting the ethos of ‘Unity in Diversity.’ The ceremony was further enlivened by cultural performances that showcased traditional dances and patriotic songs, heightening the overall excitement of the occasion.
Over the next fourteen days, the students will embark on a remarkable journey to explore the National Capital, New Delhi, and the picturesque landscapes of Dehradun. This tour is designed not only to expand their perspectives but also to rekindle a sense of national awareness and strengthen their integration with the diverse cultures that characterize India.
