What Are Fuselage Skins?

The contract covers 11 fuselage skins, comprising:
- 8 skins for Section 18, the rear fuselage
- 3 skins for Section 19, the tail section
The first deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028.
To fulfil the contract, Mahindra Aerostructures plans to expand advanced aerospace manufacturing capabilities at its Bengaluru facility. These include processes such as chemical milling, surface treatment and stretch-forming.
