Women’s ICC World Cup Trophy 2025

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet outlined plans for a grand public celebration following India’s historic victory in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. However, to honour this remarkable achievement, the BCCI has announced a ₹51 crore cash reward for the players, coaches, and support staff.
Board secretary Jay Shah praised captain Harmanpreet Kaur and her team, stating that they have “not only lifted a trophy but also captured the hearts of millions,” marking a “new dawn” for women’s cricket in India.

In the history of the ICC Women’s World Cup, which has now seen 13 editions, Australia remains the most successful team with seven titles, followed by England with four, while New Zealand and India have each won once.

World Jellyfish Day 2025

Celebrated globally on November 3, World Jellyfish Day honours one of the planet’s oldest and most fascinating marine species. Jellyfish, which have floated through the world’s oceans for over 500 million years, existed long before dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Though often seen as mere nuisances at the beach, jellyfish play a crucial ecological role. They:

  • Support marine food chains by feeding sea turtles and providing shelter for young fish
  • Help scientists study brainless neural networks and adaptability
  • Contribute significantly to maintaining ocean biodiversity and ecosystem balance

This annual event highlights the need to protect these mysterious creatures that sustain marine life and scientific curiosity alike.
