Khelo India Tribal Games 2026

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya announced that the first edition of the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 will be hosted in Chhattisgarh. The games are scheduled to take place from 26 March to 6 April 2026.

This will be the inaugural edition of the Khelo India Tribal Games, aimed at promoting sports talent among tribal communities across the country. The competitions will be organized in three major cities of Chhattisgarh — Raipur, Jagdalpur, and Surguja.

Seven medal sports have been included in the event:

  • Football
  • Hockey
  • Weightlifting
  • Archery
  • Swimming
  • Wrestling

The initiative is expected to encourage participation of tribal athletes and provide them with a national platform to showcase their talent.

Jasprit Bumrah Reaches 500 International Wickets

NITI Aayog and UNICEF Partnership for Nutrition

The policy think tank NITI Aayog and UNICEF India have signed a Statement of Intent (SOI) to enhance nutrition and health outcomes in Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks.

The agreement was signed by Rohit Kumar from NITI Aayog and Arjan de Wagt.

The collaboration aims to:
