PM Pays Tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Every year, 14 November is marked as Children’s Day, honouring Nehru’s deep affection for children and his vision for their education and welfare.
Children’s Day serves as a reminder of the nation’s responsibility to ensure that every child receives proper education, protection, and opportunities for growth.
On a global scale, World Children’s Day, established by the United Nations in 1954, is celebrated on 20 November to promote international unity and advocate for the rights of children across the world.
Prime Minister’s Visit to Gujarat for Janjatiya Gaurav Divas
On 15 November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat to participate in the observance of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, a day dedicated to honouring the legacy of India’s tribal freedom fighters.
The Prime Minister will begin his visit with Pooja and Darshan at the Devmogra Temple in Narmada district. Later, he will join a programme in Dediapada marking the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, one of the most revered tribal leaders of India.
Janjatiya Gaurav Divas was officially declared by the Government of India on 15 November 2021 during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The day highlights the sacrifices and bravery of tribal heroes who fought against colonial oppression.
Bhagwan Birsa Munda (1875–1900), belonging to the Munda tribe of the Chotanagpur plateau, played a key role in mobilizing tribal communities in areas including Khunti, Tamar, Sarwada, and Bandgaon in present-day Jharkhand. His movement remains a symbol of indigenous resistance against British rule.
During the event, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for multiple developmental projects worth over ₹9,700 crore, aimed at boosting regional infrastructure and welfare.
Culmination of Tri-Services Exercise 2025
The Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025) ‘Trishul’ has successfully concluded, marking a major demonstration of India’s integrated military capabilities. Conducted in early November 2025, the exercise was led by the Indian Navy, with significant participation from the Indian Army and Indian Air Force.
The Western Naval Command spearheaded the operations, supported by the Southern Command of the Army and the South Western Air Command of the Air Force.
TSE-2025 featured extensive joint operations across the creek and desert regions of Gujarat and Rajasthan, along with advanced maritime drills, including amphibious operations in the North Arabian Sea.
The exercise underscored India’s preparedness for multidomain operations and enhanced interoperability among the three services.
India Achieves Historic Decline in Tuberculosis Cases
India has recorded a landmark achievement in public health, as highlighted in the WHO Global TB Report 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the country’s remarkable progress in fighting tuberculosis, describing it as a major step toward achieving a TB-Mukt Bharat.
According to the report, India’s TB incidence fell by 21%, declining from 237 cases per lakh population in 2015 to 187 per lakh in 2024 — nearly double the global rate of decline.
This progress has been supported by the world’s largest TB diagnostic network, which includes:
- 9,391 molecular testing centres
- 107 culture and drug-susceptibility testing laboratories
- 500+ AI-enabled portable X-ray machines, with 1,500 more planned
- A decentralized TB-care system functioning through 1.78 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs
These advancements have significantly improved early diagnosis, treatment accessibility, and community-level TB management.
