- Nagaland Launched The First Phase Of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 Immunization Drive.
- Health & Family Welfare Department Nagaland Created 209 IMI Sessions In 12 Districts, Targeting 1155 Children In 0 To 2 Years, 730 Children Of 2 To 5 Years And 179 Pregnant Women.
- The Objective Of IMI 5.0 Is To Identify All Children Up To 5 Years For Missed Doses, Register Them On U-WIN And Vaccinate Them In Specially Planned IMI Sessions.
- The Initiative Also Represents The Nationwide Effort To Eliminate Measles And Rubella By Ensuring That Every Child Under 5 Years Completes The Crucial Two-dose Schedule Of Measles And Rubella.
Orbit Reduction Manoeuvre Of Chandrayaan – 3
- The Indian Space Research Organisation Successfully Carried Out The Lunar-orbit Reduction Manoeuvre Of India’s Third Moon Mission Chandrayaan-3, A Day After Ing It Into The Lunar Orbit.
- ISRO Said The Spacecraft Successfully Underwent A Planned Orbit Reduction Manoeuvre Which Brought It Closer To The Moon’s Surface Now To 170 Km X 4313 Km Orbit Means The Spacecraft’s Farthest Point From The Moon Is 4313 Km And The Closest Point Is 170 Km Only.
- The Space Agency Said It Will Carry Out The Next Such Operation Wednesday, 9th August Between 1 pm And 2 pm.
- There Will Be Three More Moon-bound Manoeuvres Till August 17, Following Which The Landing Module, Comprising The Lander And Rover, Will Break Away From The Propulsion Module. After This, De-orbiting Manoeuvres Will Be Carried Out On The Lander Before The Final Descent On The Moon.
- According To ISRO, It Would Attempt A Soft Landing On The Moon’s Surface On August 23.

AIIMS Doctor Warns About Steroids For Eye Treatment
- As Cases Of Conjunctivitis (Eye Flu) Are Rising In North India Including The National Capital Delhi, The Senior Doctor In The All-India Institute Of Medical Sciences-AIIMS Have Warned Against Using Steroids For Eye Treatment.
- After Two Weeks Of Using Steroid-containing Eye Drops In The Eyes, There Is A Risk Of Developing Spots On The Cornea And Increasing Eye Pressure.
- AIIMS Has Not Included Steroids In Its Treatment Protocol, And It Should Be Given To Patients Only When Necessary.
- Giving Steroids, Patients May Get Quick Relief But Later There Is A Risk Of Damage To The Eyes And Weakening Of The Light.
