What is eSanjeevani?
- It is a national telemedicine service.
- Offers tele-consultations enabling patient to doctor consultations from the confines of their home, as well as doctor to doctor consultations.
- Two types of telemedicine services are provided under this:
- eSanjeevani: It is a doctor to doctor telemedicine system. Implemented under the Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre (AB-HWCs) programme.
- eSanjeevani OPD: It is a patient-to-doctor tele-consultation. It was launched amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
- It has so far provided 1.58 lakh online consultations according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
- The online platform was operationalized in more than 23 states.
- It covers more than 75% of population in the country.
Book release: Connecting, Communicating, Changing
- Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh released the book titled ‘Connecting, Communicating, Changing’.
- This book is regarding the 3 years of the Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu in office.
- Union Minister Prakash Javadekar released the e-version of the book.
- Publication is the 3rd in the series on his efforts and outcomes as the Vice President and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
Minimum Standards of Architectural Education Regulations, 2020
- Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank virtually launched the Minimum Standards of Architectural Education Regulations.
- On August 6, the COA has issued the Council of Architecture (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020
- Further it amended Council of Architecture (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 1983.
- These Regulations will be applicable for the academic session 2020-2021 in view of Covid-19 pandemic.
- Now to get admission in B.Arch. 10+2 with PCM or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics is necessary.
- The candidates who have qualified the aptitude test i.e. NATA or JEE, with pass percentage in 10+2 scheme of Examination with PCM or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to B.Arch.
Krishi Megh
- Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar virtually launched the Krishi Megh.
- Krishi Megh: National Agricultural Research and Education System – Cloud Infrastructure and Services.
- It is to protect the data of the government’s premier research body Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
- Krishi Megh has been set up under the National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP).
- Funded by Government and World Bank.
- Krishi Megh will help in meeting the services and infrastructure requirements of Digital Agriculture of National Agricultural Research and Education System (NARES).
- The minister also launched the KVC ALUNET (Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Chhatr Alumni Network)
- And Online Accreditation System for Higher Agricultural Educational Institutions (HEI).
K.V. Kamath Committee on Restructuring of Loans
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has formed a Five-member committee under the chairmanship of former ICICI Bank CEO KV Kamath.
- Committee to make recommendations on the financial parameters to be considered in the restructuring of loans impacted by the Covid 19 pandemic.
- The Committee will formulate sector-specific resolution plans for all accounts with total loan exposure of Rs.1,500 crore and above.
- It is going to submit its recommendations to RBI in 30 days.
- Many firms are facing the challenge as their debt burden is getting disproportionate.
- Which can lead to rise in NPA.
- Recently Monetary Policy report, RBI has allowed banks to restructure loans to reduce the rising stress on incomes and balance sheets of large corporates, MSMEs as well as individuals.
