Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, recently attended the Biennial Conference of the Regiment of Artillery held at the School of Artillery in Devlali. This significant gathering brought together senior leaders from the artillery branch to discuss crucial topics surrounding the future of India’s artillery capabilities.
The conference was attended by key figures including the Director General of Artillery, Colonel Commandants, Formation Commanders, and Commanding Officers. The discussions focused on essential themes such as force restructuring, modernisation strategies, and the infusion of technology aimed at addressing emerging requirements on the battlefield.
In addition to the conference, General Dwivedi took the opportunity to tour the Drone Experience Centre, a cutting-edge facility dedicated to advancing technology-driven warfare training. The centre features various key components, including advanced simulator laboratories, an incubation centre for innovation, and a drone manoeuvre arena where trainees engage in mission planning, surveillance, and precision targeting exercises.
During his address to the officers and instructors present at the station, General Dwivedi praised their ongoing efforts to elevate training standards and integrate contemporary warfare concepts. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the current momentum and encouraged all personnel to continue striving for excellence as the Army adapts to rapid technological advancements in warfare.
