The Grand Finale of THINQ-25, the Indian Navy’s prominent national quiz competition, took place with great enthusiasm at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, on November 5, 2025. The event highlighted the Navy’s commitment to nurturing curiosity and knowledge among India’s youth, with Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, serving as the Chief Guest.
This year’s theme, “MAHASAGAR,” celebrated India’s rich maritime heritage and the Navy’s dedication to fostering innovation and intellectual growth. After thousands of schools participated nationwide, the competition culminated in a semi-final round where 16 teams from the four geographical zones — North, South, East, and West — competed, with eight teams ultimately reaching the Grand Finale.
The finale showcased a riveting contest among leading institutions, including Jayshree Periwal High School from Jaipur, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan from Kannur, Subodh Public School (Jaipur), Shiksha Niketan (Jamshedpur), Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School (Chennai), Cambridge Court High School (Jaipur), Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre (Kanpur), and PM Shri JNV (Samastipur).
In a closely fought competition, Jayshree Periwal High School emerged as the Champion, while PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya from Samastipur secured the Runners-Up position, both receiving accolades for their exceptional performances.
During his address, Admiral Tripathi praised the students for their energy, curiosity, and awareness of India’s maritime traditions. He urged them to continue exploring innovative ideas, highlighting that such endeavors align with the Navy’s broader vision to encourage intellectual development and maritime consciousness among the youth.
The Grand Finale was live-streamed on the Indian Navy’s official YouTube and Facebook channels, attracting significant viewership and engagement from schools, naval establishments, and maritime enthusiasts nationwide.
The successful conclusion of THINQ-25 reaffirms the Indian Navy’s dedication to engaging young minds in a spirit of learning and exploration. Looking ahead, the Navy has announced plans for THINQ-26, promising an even more expansive platform for students to showcase their knowledge, teamwork, and passion for maritime affairs.
