A state-of-the-art 3 Tesla MRI facility was inaugurated by Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, the Director General of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune. The event took place on May 19, 2026, and signifies a noteworthy leap forward in the medical infrastructure supporting the Armed Forces.
The newly established facility is set to enhance the medical teaching and diagnostic capabilities within the AFMS framework. During her visit, Vice Admiral Sarin reviewed the advanced imaging center, receiving detailed briefings on its sophisticated diagnostic capabilities.
