The 42nd India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (IND-INDO CORPAT) came to a successful conclusion in Sabang, Indonesia, from May 22 to 24, 2024. This significant event was marked by the active participation of key Indian naval vessels and personnel, fostering enhanced maritime cooperation and reinforcing the long-standing partnership between the two nations.

The Andaman and Nicobar Command dispatched two prominent ships to the event: INS Kulish and NAVCC. Additionally, INS Chetlat was also present, showcasing India’s commitment to maritime security and collaborative efforts in the Indian Ocean region. The closing ceremony featured a series of official calls, including high-level meetings between Indian and Indonesian naval officers.

These interactions were aimed at reviewing the outcomes of the coordinated patrol, discussing strategic maritime issues, and planning future collaborative efforts. The dignitaries from both nations exchanged views on enhancing operational synergy and addressing common maritime challenges such as piracy, smuggling, and illegal fishing.
