A delegation comprising thirty officers from the Young Officers’ Course and students of the Last Mile Delivery and Drone Flying Cadre from the Army Service Corps Centre and College visited Air Force Station Yelahanka on January 8, 2026. This group was further enhanced by the participation of six officers from Friendly Foreign Countries, specifically Cameroon, Lesotho, and Jamaica, signaling India’s commitment to expanding defense training collaboration with allied nations.

During this visit, attendees witnessed a Live Air Drop Demonstration orchestrated by the Army Service Corps, with backing from the Indian Air Force. This exercise was designed to illustrate the Air Maintenance operations capabilities of the Army Service Corps, effectively showcasing their ability to deliver crucial supplies rapidly and accurately to support troops stationed in remote, high-risk operational areas.

The demonstration emphasized the significance of seamless coordination between the Army and Air Force, particularly in complex and logistically challenging environments. Officers were provided insights into various planning aspects, including aircraft coordination, precision delivery techniques, and the emerging role of drones in enhancing last-mile logistics efficiency.

This event not only highlighted the interconnectedness of military branches but also offered valuable exposure to contemporary logistics concepts. It underscored the necessity for robust, responsive, and resilient supply chains to meet the evolving demands of future warfare, thereby reinforcing the collaborative spirit among participating nations in modern military operations.
