Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, observed the conclusion of Exercise AMOGH JWALA at the Babina Field Firing Ranges. This exercise was focused on validating new operational concepts, modern warfare protocols, and evolving force structures.
Conducted by the White Tiger Division, the exercise highlighted high-tempo mechanised warfare. It integrated a variety of aerial assets, including attack helicopters, fighter aircraft, drones, and counter-drone systems, demonstrating the use of advanced technologies in a multi-domain battlefield environment.
Among the key takeaways were the capabilities of synchronised fire and manoeuvre, alongside real-time drone-based surveillance and target acquisition. Precision engagement abilities were on full display, showcasing effective integration of Electronic Warfare (EW), Air Defence (AD), and night-fighting technologies, underscoring the strength and readiness of a networked military force.
During his address, Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth praised the troops for their professionalism, operational excellence, and combat readiness. He emphasized the importance of technology assimilation, alongside jointness and integration across various domains such as land, air, cyber, space, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), as vital for creating an agile and adaptive military force capable of dominating in modern conflict scenarios.
The exercise further reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to transitioning into a technologically advanced, multi-domain force, prepared for the challenges of future warfare.
