Kent was a 21st Army Dog Unit female labrador-type dog who died trying to save her handler. “Kent was leading a column of soldiers pursuing fleeing terrorists.” It was shot down by hostile fire, according to a Defence official.

Meanwhile, in Rajouri, a suspected Pakistani terrorist and an Army soldier were killed in a gunfight. In addition, three security guards were hurt during the firefight. Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, stated that an encounter occurred between militants and security personnel in Narla village.
“One terrorist and one Army soldier were killed, while three security personnel – two Army jawans and one special police officer – were injured in the gunfight,” he claimed.
