The Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army has launched an advanced Integrated Drone Training and Virtual Reality (VR) Observation Post Lab at an impressive altitude of 4,500 meters. This facility represents a significant leap towards enhancing the military’s operational capabilities in high-altitude environments, where challenges are compounded by the terrain and climate.
Designed to bolster the Army’s technological advantage, the new lab combines sophisticated drone training infrastructure with immersive VR simulation systems. The facility features advanced Drone Training Nodes alongside Virtual Reality simulators specifically tailored for Infantry personnel, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Mortar Fire Controllers, and Artillery Observation Post Officers. The aim is to equip these units with the tools necessary for improved surveillance, precise target acquisition, heightened battlefield awareness, and enhanced engagement capabilities.
