Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, recently visited the First in Battle Air Defence Brigade to evaluate its training, operational readiness, and multi-domain capabilities. This visit aimed to ensure that the brigade remains well-equipped to meet current and emerging challenges in air defense.
During the assessment, the Army Commander received comprehensive briefings on essential operational elements, including stringent security protocols, collaborative training initiatives, and the integration of modern air defense systems. These discussions were pivotal in exploring ways to enhance interoperability and combat effectiveness amid evolving threat scenarios.
Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth took the opportunity to commend the Brigade for its unwavering commitment and consistent efforts in strengthening air defense preparedness. He praised the unit for its rigorous training programs and advanced tactical deployments that have significantly bolstered its operational capabilities.
Additionally, the General Officer acknowledged the brigade’s excellence in administration and overall force readiness. He highlighted the brigade’s crucial contributions to Humanitarian and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, particularly in Gujarat, which underscored the Indian Army’s dedication to assisting civilian populations during emergencies.
