In a significant move to enhance operational readiness, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, recently visited the White Tiger Division. This visit was aimed at reviewing the unit’s preparedness and its capabilities in modern warfighting.
During the visit, the Army Commander received comprehensive briefings on the division’s initiatives to evolve into a future-ready force. Central to this transformation is the integration of New Generation Equipment (NGE), advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and numerous indigenous innovations. These strategic shifts are essential for maintaining superiority in an ever-changing battle environment.
The briefing also emphasized advanced training methods, particularly in the realm of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and counter-UAS operations. It highlighted the division’s focus on network-centric warfare and greater collaboration across the three armed services. Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth commended the White Tiger Division’s commitment to Atmanirbharta, or self-reliance, through swift technological incorporation, innovative organizational strategies, and consistent capability upgrades. This focus is notably aligned with the Indian Army’s overarching Decade of Transformation, aimed at redefining its operational frameworks.
The General Officer also encouraged personnel at all levels to maintain high standards of professionalism, adapt to emerging threats, and focus on achieving operational excellence across various conflict scenarios.
