Lieutenant General DS Kushwah, General Officer Commanding of the MG & G Area, recently visited the EME School at Vadodara Military Station to assess its training ecosystem and infrastructure, as well as explore ongoing technological advancements that aim to prepare a future-ready army.
During his visit, the General Officer received a comprehensive briefing on several key initiatives aligned with the Indian Armyโs Decade of Transformation. Central to this briefing were efforts focused on innovation, indigenisation, and the pursuit of excellence in technical education across specialized domains. The discussions emphasized the modernization of training curricula to align with the evolving requirements of modern battlefields.
Lt Gen Kushwah took the opportunity to review the state-of-the-art training infrastructure available at the school. He was briefed on contemporary methodologies that encompass a wide range of new-generation armament systems, small arms, optoelectronic equipment, and military vehicles. A significant emphasis was placed on the importance of hands-on training and the absorption of advanced technologies to keep pace with rapid advancements in defense technology.
In his remarks, the GOC commended the focused integration of modern technology within the training programs. He highlighted the pivotal role that the EME School plays in shaping technically proficient and future-ready soldiers. Lt Gen Kushwah stressed that institutions like the EME School are essential for operational readiness and sustainment, ensuring that the Army maintains a robust technical edge to effectively respond to emerging challenges in the defense landscape.
