Lieutenant General Prasanna Kishore Mishra, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps, recently visited the forward areas in the Rajouri sector alongside the GOC of the Romeo Force. The primary purpose of this visit was to review the current security situation and assess the operational preparedness of troops deployed in this strategically significant region.
During the visit, Lt. Gen. Mishra received detailed briefings on several critical aspects, including the effectiveness of the counter-insurgency grid, ongoing anti-infiltration measures, and initiatives aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the hinterland. He expressed his commendation for all ranks, highlighting their dedication, professionalism, and operational effectiveness. The GOC particularly praised the sustained efforts of the personnel in ensuring security along the Anti-Infiltration Obstacle System (AIOS) and within the region’s challenging terrain, which poses unique operational hurdles.
Emphasizing the importance of sustained vigilance, Lt. Gen. Mishra encouraged the troops to uphold the highest standards of readiness. He stressed the significance of maintaining synergy among various units and maintaining operational alertness to effectively counter any potential threats that could arise.
This visit underlined the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to enforcing robust counter-terrorism and border security measures in the sensitive Rajouri–Poonch sector, ensuring that troops remain prepared to respond to any emerging challenges in this crucial area.
