Lieutenant General R C Tiwari, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, recently conducted a visit to the Border Outpost at Belonia in South Tripura. This trip aimed to assess the current security situation along the Indo-Bangladesh border and involved discussions with senior military officers regarding various operational aspects.
During the visit, Lt Gen Tiwari received a comprehensive briefing concerning operational preparedness, border management strategies, and the coordination mechanisms established to ensure stringent surveillance and security across this critical frontier. The discussions highlighted the ongoing efforts to cultivate a vigilant atmosphere, proactively address cross-border threats, and facilitate effective collaboration among the various security forces stationed in the area.
In addition to the briefings, the Army Commander took the opportunity to engage directly with the troops stationed at the border outpost. He expressed his appreciation for their professionalism, alertness, and unwavering dedication to duty, especially while performing their responsibilities under challenging conditions.
