  • ABDUL GAFFAR KHAN- Badshah Khan; Frontier Gandhi.
    • Bacha Khan was nicknamed the “Frontier Gandhi” in British India by his close associate Amir Chand Bombwal.
    • He was a Pashtun independence activist who worked to end the rule of the British Raj in India.
  • BAL GANGADHAR TILAK – Lokmanya
    • “Lokmanya” means “accepted by the people (as their leader). “
    • Tilak was the first leader of the Indian Independence Movement. The British colonial authorities called him “The father of the Indian unrest.”
