In a recent visit to the Black Mace Brigade, Lt Gen AVS Rathee, the General Officer Commanding of the Konark Corps, conducted a comprehensive review of the brigade’s operational, training, and administrative preparedness. The assessment focused on the brigade’s readiness levels and highlighted its commitment to integrating New Generation Equipment (NGEs) and New Technology Equipment (NTEs), particularly the utilization of drones, which have become increasingly vital in modern military operations.
During the visit, Lt Gen Rathee also acknowledged the brigade’s endeavors in research and development, particularly within the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. He emphasized that advancements in these areas are essential for maintaining operational superiority and readiness in a rapidly changing battlefield environment.
In addition to assessing the Black Mace Brigade, Lt Gen Rathee evaluated the operational readiness and administrative aspects of the Battle Axe Division. He commended the division for its impressive combat effectiveness and its proactive approach in adopting niche technologies specifically designed to address the complexities of contemporary warfare in multi-domain operations.
