Lt Gen Harinder Singh New Commandant Of Indian Military Academy

Lieutenant General Harinder Singh, Commander 14 Corps, will be the new Commandant of the Indian Military Academy (IMA). He may take charge in the first week of October, sources from the Indian Army said. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Jaiveer Singh Negi, the incumbent Commandant, retired on Wednesday after almost 40 years of serving the Indian Army.

During a ceremony held at the War Memorial of the IMA, Lt Gen Negi paid homage to the martyrs before bidding goodbye to the academy where he had taken over as Commandant on February 1 this year.
