Lt Gen C.G. Muralidharan, the Director General Medical Services (Army) and Colonel Commandant of the Army Medical Corps, undertook an official visit to the Command Hospital (Northern Command) on 22 November 2025. This visit aimed to assess the hospital’s developments and ongoing initiatives focused on enhancing patient care.
During his tour, Lt Gen Muralidharan received detailed briefings on the progress of the new hospital complex, investments in various medical departments, and strategic efforts aimed at improving both patient care and client satisfaction across the facility. His focus on improvement reflected a commitment to maintaining high standards within military healthcare.
The General Officer conducted inspections of critical care units, notably the Intensive Care Unit and the Dialysis Centre. Here, he evaluated various operational procedures and engaged directly with medical personnel, expressing his satisfaction with the quality of treatment delivered. His commendation highlighted the hospital’s commitment to excellence in healthcare services.
Officials noted that Lt Gen Muralidharan praised the hospital’s proactive approach, which not only caters to soldiers, veterans, and their families but also extends vital medical support to the local civilian population. This outreach to the community underscores the hospital’s role as a cornerstone of health services in the region, particularly for individuals in need of specialized care.
