Army Wives Continuing the Legacy
Several Army wives whose husbands were killed in action have chosen to join the armed forces to carry on their husbands’ legacy. The Army is also pushing women who are qualified to become officers to follow in their late husbands’ footsteps. The Army is also giving them plenty of advice on how to start over in their lives. Rekha Singh’s tale exemplifies the growing number of army spouses whose husbands were killed in the line of duty or in conflict and who are pursuing a career in the armed forces to carry on their loved one’s legacy.
