Jamuna Devi of Uttarakhand, a resident of a small village Karauli in Chamoli district gave three brave sons to the Indian army, all her sons are in the Indian army serving the nation. Since long, Uttarakhand is producing brave soldiers for Indian army, we have the perfect example of Kumaon and Garhwal regiments.
Jamuna Devi has set a great example of patriotism and also maintained the legacy of Uttarakhand people to join Indian armed forces. Jamuna Devi says, “These are my three precious gems would protect the country’s borders in the coming days. These are not only my sons but also sons of mother India and they will complete every mission to maintain its dignity”.

This is a normal thing for us, the Gorkhas. I am from Manipur and there are so many examples in our area where their parents gave e or 4 sons to the Indian armed forces and in some case even the father was in the force.
