In a groundbreaking development for holistic healthcare, the Military Hospital in Bhuj has launched PRAYAS, a dedicated Speech Therapy Centre, alongside a comprehensive Wellness Centre. This initiative seeks to unite modern medical care with India’s ancient health traditions, offering an inclusive and supportive environment for children with special needs and their families.
The newly inaugurated facilities aim to deliver compassionate, multidisciplinary care that addresses physical, emotional, and developmental well-being. By merging evidence-based therapies with traditional practices such as Yoga and Ayurveda, the centres are designed to promote long-term rehabilitation, resilience, and overall quality of life for young patients who require specialized and sustained care.
During a recent visit, Komal Seth, the Regional President of the Army Wives Welfare Association (Southern Star), engaged meaningfully with children and their parents. She emphasized the significance of the inclusive facilities and the new opportunities being created to foster each child’s growth, confidence, and learning experiences. Her remarks reaffirmed the community’s commitment to providing family-centric support, which is essential for nurturing children’s individual needs.
This initiative reflects the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to welfare-oriented healthcare, particularly in remote and border areas. By fostering integrated solutions that blend compassion with care, the project exemplifies how modern medicine can harmonize with holistic well-being, ultimately enhancing the lives of those it serves.
