The MMG & AGL Course for Junior Leaders at the Infantry School Mhow recently culminated, showcasing the participation of both Indian Army personnel and students from friendly foreign countries. The course, which concluded on March 30, 2026, was designed to foster essential skills among junior leaders amid a rapidly evolving battlefield landscape.
A primary focus of the training was to equip participants with advanced technical skills in handling Company Support Weapons. Emphasizing tactical employment in contemporary combat scenarios, the course also provided exposure to new-generation equipment and drones, critical components in modern warfare. This comprehensive approach aimed to prepare junior leaders with the necessary competencies to excel in dynamic operational environments.
The closing ceremony highlighted the achievements of the participants, where awards were bestowed upon outstanding trainees. Naik Phadtare Tushar from the Maratha Light Infantry was recognized as the Best Student, while Private NG Honge Venance Shija from Tanzania was honored as the Best Foreign Student, marking a significant milestone in their military education.
Brigadier MI Khan, the Commander of the Weapons & Trial Wing, delivered a closing address during the ceremony. He praised the dedication and performance of the meritorious trainees, underlining the importance of their roles in the military.
