Union Minister, Jitendra Singh said that UPSC exams like NDA 1 2020 and others which got postponed due to lockdown in the country will be definitely held and decision on the exam dates will be taken after the lockdown ends on 3 May 2020. He also mentioned that the dates will be decided in such a manner that sufficient time will be given to all the defence aspirants to reach their designated exam centres for NDA 1 2020.
Earlier, the Union Public Service Commission had conducted a meeting on April 15 to review the situation arising out of COVID-19. In the meeting, the commission had discussed important details regarding the exam dates for its various exams. The decision taken by UPSC regarding the postponement of all interview, examinations and recruitments due to the prevailing lockdown restrictions will be reviewed from time to time.
The press released issued by UPSC reads, “The decision on fresh dates for the remaining Civil Service 2019 personality tests will be taken after May 3, 2020, following the second phase of the lockdown. Dates for the Civil Services 2020 prelims exam, Engineering Services Exam and Geologist Services Mains exam had already been announced. Any further update on the rescheduling of these examinations as per the situation will be notified on the official website.”
“The notices regarding the deferment of Combined Medical Services Examination, the Indian Economic Service and the Indian Statistical Service Examination 2020 have already been posted. Dates for the UPSC CAPF exam will be notified on the official website,” reads the notice.
The notice further reads, “NDA 1 2020 exam has already been postponed till further notice. A decision on NDA 2 2020 will be posted on June 10, 2020.”
