NDA 2 2014 exam was recently held on 28 September 2014. NDA exam is conducted to select youngsters for the three services of Indian Armed forces. NDA 2 2014 cut off marks will be discussed in this post. NDA offers a good opportunity for students who have just passed there 12th standard exams and want  to join Indian army, navy or airforce.

Expected NDA 2 2014 cut off marks: 320 to 345 marks out of a total of 900 marks.

Expected NDA 2 2014 paper wise cut off marks: around 90 to 100 marks in mathematics paper and 170 to 190 marks in general ability paper.

Cut off marks for NDA 2 2012 and NDA 1 2013 are given below.

Over all Cut off marks for NDA 1 2013 : 333 out of 900, which is around 37% Marks.

Paper wise Cut of percentage for NDA 1 2013: 30 percent. We know that that mathematics paper is of 300 marks, hence you need 30% of 300, which is 90 marks to clear the sectional paper of Mathematics. Similarly, You need 30% marks in general ability paper. General ability paper is of a total of 600 marks and 30% of 600 is 180 marks. Hence in order to clear NDA exam a candidate should satisfy both the criterion of over all cut off as well as paper wise cut off.

Few students get 400 marks in general ability paper but fail to clear NDA exam as they don’t get the paper wise cut of marks for the mathematics paper.

Clearing Mathematics paper can be hard specially for students who are not of mathematical background at intermediate level. Students of non-science will also find it hard to get good marks in general ability paper as a good number of questions are asked from physics and chemistry.

Cut off marks change after every exam but we can still estimate the upper limit and lower limit of the cut off marks based on the result of the previous exams. Result of NDA 2 2014  will be announced in in late December 2014 and early December 2015. NDA 2 2014 cut off marks will be released much later by UPSC.
