Operation Sarp Vinash 2.0

In response to escalating terrorist activities in Jammu, the Indian Army has launched Operation Sarp Vinash 2.0, marking the largest anti-terrorism campaign conducted by the army in the past 21 years. The operation aims to neutralize 55 active terrorists operating in the Jammu division. The operation is being overseen directly by the Prime Minister’s office, with reports being submitted to the NSA and the Chief of Army Staff. The campaign has been intensified following the recent martyrdom of 48 army personnel over the past two years, as part of a retaliatory effort.

Increased Military Deployment and Border Vigilance

In response to the surge in attacks over the last few months, primarily carried out by Pakistani terrorists who have recently infiltrated into Jammu, the army has deployed 3,000 additional troops. This contingent includes 200 snipers and 500 paratroopers. Enhanced monitoring along the international border and the Line of Control (LOC) has also been implemented, with the Border Security Force (BSF) and army on high alert.
