Israeli aerospace defense manufacturer ParaZero has secured a significant order for its advanced DefendAir counter-drone system from a leading global defense company. This agreement not only includes the delivery of the DefendAir system but also encompasses an integrated training package specifically designed for operators. This training is pivotal to ensure the system is deployed effectively in various defense and security scenarios.
The DefendAir system is engineered to combine both soft- and hard-kill counter-drone measures. It utilizes radar detection capabilities alongside a patented net launcher to neutralize hostile drones, all while minimizing collateral damage. ParaZero’s confidence in the system is bolstered by a 100 percent interception rate demonstrated in previous live field trials, which enhances its reputation in the highly competitive counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) market.
Although ParaZero has chosen not to disclose the identity of the purchasing company, CEO Ariel Alon emphasized that this agreement highlights the company’s increasing significance within global defense supply chains. This development is particularly notable as drone threats are becoming a defining aspect of modern warfare.
In August 2025, the company carried out a field trial of an enhanced version of its DefendAir system. This upgraded system features a stationary net turret launcher equipped with fully autonomous optical detection and tracking capabilities, further expanding its effectiveness in counter-drone operations.
The timing of this deal coincides with a surge in military and homeland security demand for drone defense solutions. As unmanned aerial systems are increasingly utilized for reconnaissance, targeting, and offensive operations, C-UAS technologies like DefendAir are essential for safely detecting, tracking, and disabling drones, thereby addressing challenges across both military and civilian settings.
Additionally, ParaZero has recently reported a series of international contracts, including shipments to defense partners across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. In August 2025, the company also delivered DefendAir units to a distinguished defense organization, underscoring its growing presence in the global defense landscape.
