The Recruit Religious Teachers Course came to a successful conclusion with a Passing Out Parade at the Institute of National Integration (INI), highlighting the effective completion of an intensive 11-week training program. The event, which took place on January 10, 2026, celebrated the dedication and hard work of 63 newly graduated Religious Teachers.

Over the course of the program, these individuals received comprehensive training designed to enhance their roles not only as spiritual guides but also as pivotal figures in counseling and mental well-being within the Indian Army. The curriculum included a focus on psychological counseling, stress management strategies, and yoga techniques, all of which are essential for addressing the challenges faced by soldiers in a variety of operational scenarios.

The training underscored the importance of Religious Teachers as integral components of moral strength and emotional stability within military units. Their primary responsibilities extend beyond religious duties; they are vital in promoting unity, resilience, and ethical behavior among soldiers from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.

Upon graduation, these Religious Teachers are seen as ambassadors of national integration and religious harmony, embodying the Army’s deep commitment to the ethos of unity in diversity. The Passing Out Parade served as a significant marker of their readiness to provide guidance, bolster morale, enhance cohesion, and ultimately improve the overall combat effectiveness of the force.
