Missouri-based Q-Net Security has secured a contract with the U.S. Air Force aimed at enhancing battlefield communications, ensuring they are faster, safer, and more reliable in critical situations where every second and signal are essential. This latest initiative builds upon the company’s previous collaborations with the Air Force, focusing on the creation and implementation of advanced airborne wide-area networks, high-capacity air-to-air connections, and mobile self-forming networks designed to keep military units connected while on the move.
As part of this contract, Q-Net is set to develop Tactical Key Management encryption tools, which are intended to facilitate secure, real-time communications that are particularly vital for the Air Force’s Agile Combat Employment operations—missions that require rapid deployment under pressing circumstances.
Q-Net Security’s portfolio features innovative products such as the Q-Box, a plug-and-play device designed to encrypt all traffic between authorized endpoints, and the Q-Net Policy Manager, which is capable of managing networks of up to 1,000 Q-Boxes. Both of these systems are based on the company’s “hardsec” hardware approach, engineered to eliminate software vulnerabilities and mitigate the risks of remote hacking.
These cybersecurity innovations have been previously adopted by the U.S. military in various projects aimed at protecting critical networks and military infrastructure, highlighting the effectiveness and reliability of Q-Net’s technologies in demanding operational environments.
