Singh was serving with the 18th Rashtriya Rifles, a prominent unit within the Rajputana Rifles regiment, and was stationed in Abohar, Punjab.
The tragic events unfolded on Wednesday night when Singh returned to his native village of Palota to attend his cousin’s wedding. During this visit, he was reportedly intercepted by two individuals familiar to him, who forcibly abducted him in a car near his cousin’s residence. Station House Officer Hemraj Meena from Surajgarh confirmed that locals made attempts to intervene but were unsuccessful in preventing the kidnapping.
The situation escalated dramatically when family members received a phone call nearly two hours after Singh was taken. An anonymous caller informed them of Singh’s death and provided the location of his body. In a state of desperation, the family hurried to the specified site, only to find Singh unresponsive.
