Rear Admiral Deepak Singhal has officially taken over as the Chief Staff Officer (Training) at the Southern Naval Command (SNC), a strategic move aimed at bolstering the training framework of the Indian Navy. Having been commissioned on January 1, 1994, Rear Admiral Singhal brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He is an alumnus of several prestigious institutions, including the Naval Academy in Goa, the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington, the Naval War College, and the National Defence College in New Delhi. His specialization in Navigation and Direction has been crucial throughout his career, allowing him to excel in numerous pivotal roles.
During his career, Rear Admiral Singhal has commanded several frontline warships, such as INS Nirghat, INS Kora, INS Kulish, INS Delhi, and INS Mysore. His leadership experience extends to various staff appointments at Naval Headquarters, where he contributed to strategic planning and operational readiness. Before his current role, he served as the Commanding Officer of INS Angre, the Indian Navy’s largest Base Depot Ship, demonstrating his capability in both leadership and logistical operations.
