In a significant counter-terrorism achievement, security forces successfully neutralised three terrorists during a coordinated operation in the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir, identified as Operation Trashi-I. This operation was initiated based on actionable intelligence gathered from various sources, including the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Intelligence Bureau, and military intelligence.
The operation saw troops from CIF Delta, part of the White Knight Corps, collaborate closely with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Earlier in the day, contact was established with the terrorists, leading to an intense engagement around 11:00 AM, despite the presence of difficult and challenging terrain.
The joint forces displayed impressive tactical precision and coordination, allowing them to effectively dominate the encounter site. During the fierce exchange of fire, two terrorists were neutralised. Following this engagement, a thorough search of the area yielded significant recoveries, including two AK-47 rifles, which underscored the hostile intent and operational capabilities of the eliminated terrorists.
This operation exemplifies the effectiveness of intelligence-driven, joint counter-terrorism initiatives and reinforces the commitment of security forces to eliminate terrorist threats, ensuring the maintenance of peace and security in the region.
