In a remarkable display of endurance and determination, Sepoy Sonaram Hessa of the Army Medical Corps (AMC) claimed first place in the 145 km All India Marathon Run held in Lucknow. Competing against 250 participants, Hessa completed the challenging course in an impressive 12 hours, distinguishing himself as the overall winner.
In recognition of his exceptional accomplishment, Hessa was honored during a ceremony attended by senior leadership from the AMC. Shivinder Singh, Commandant of the AMC Centre and College, along with the Officer-in-Charge of Records and the Colonel Commandant of the AMC, were present to commend Hessa for his remarkable achievement.
His victory is not just a personal triumph but also a testament to the hard work, mental resilience, and disciplined training that the Army Medical Corps champions. This achievement underscores the high standards of professionalism and sporting excellence that the AMC upholds.
