The Southern Command has celebrated the achievements of innovative minds in the Indian Army with the announcement of the winners for InnoYoddha 2025, a prestigious platform dedicated to recognizing soldier-driven innovation and effective problem-solving tailored for mission readiness.
Taking the top honor this year was Project Abhimanyu, an exceptional initiative developed by Colonel Gautam Kumar of Southern Star Munitioners. This project was lauded for its cost-effectiveness and its significant enhancement of operational capabilities, marking a noteworthy advancement in the Army’s operational readiness.
In conjunction with this high recognition, innovators from two units within the Southern Command have also received COAS Commendation Cards. This accolade serves to highlight the Command’s robust culture that emphasizes creativity, operational excellence, and a forward-thinking approach to military challenges.
The acknowledgments and awards reinforce the Southern Command’s ongoing commitment to empowering soldiers. This initiative encourages personnel to create solutions that are deeply rooted in practical battlefield experiences, in alignment with the Army’s overarching objectives of Atmanirbharta and the development of indigenous capabilities.
