Lt Gen Pattabhiraman’s military journey spanned four decades, during which he earned respect and admiration for his service. Notably, he was the first Director General of Information Systems for the Indian Army, a position that underscored his contributions to enhancing the technological capabilities of the organization. Additionally, his leadership was evident when he commanded the Western Command, the largest operational command of the Army, where he oversaw critical missions and operational readiness.
Furthermore, Lt Gen Pattabhiraman held the esteemed role of Colonel Commandant of The Bombay Sappers, which is renowned within the Corps of Engineers for its engineering expertise and contributions.
