A two-day Inter Command Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme commenced at the Central Command Dental Centre (CMDC) in Lucknow, featuring the theme “Collaborative Care: The Role of Dentistry in Systemic Health.” The inauguration was presided over by Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Central Command. This event draws together prominent speakers, dental specialists, and healthcare professionals from various regions, aiming for in-depth discussions on evidence-based practices and the expanding role of dentistry in comprehensive healthcare.
In his inaugural address, Lt Gen Sengupta underscored the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration within modern medical practice. He highlighted the intrinsic link between oral health and overall systemic wellness, stating that dental health is vital in the prevention and management of chronic diseases. The conference aims to enhance awareness of these important connections while fostering cooperation among dental and medical professionals to improve patient outcomes.
