Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi has officially taken over as the Commandant of the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla, marking a significant transition in leadership as he succeeds Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh. The NDA is renowned for its role in shaping the future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces.
A graduate of the Indian Naval Academy, Vice Admiral Jaggi is recognized as a specialist in Navigation and Direction, bringing with him a wealth of experience garnered over his impressive 30-year career. His command experience includes notable assignments such as the missile vessel INS Veer and the stealth frigate INS Sahyadri, where his exceptional leadership skills were prominently displayed.
Throughout his career, Vice Admiral Jaggi has taken on various critical roles across Command, Staff, and Diplomatic spheres. His notable positions include serving as Naval Advisor at the High Commission of India in London and holding significant roles at Naval Headquarters as Commodore (Foreign Cooperation). Additionally, he has been entrusted with leading both the Gujarat Naval Area (FOGNA) and Maharashtra Area (FOMA).
The appointment of Vice Admiral Jaggi is seen as a pivotal moment for the NDA, which continues to maintain its legacy of excellence in preparing future military leaders for the Indian Armed Forces.
