NDA stands for National Defence Academy is an academy of Indian Armed Forces. NDA recruits young cadets of intermediate and equivalent qualification and train them before they go on to pre-commissioning training in their respective service academies of Indian Air Force or Indian Navy or Indian Army. NDA is located at Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world.
What is NDA Exam 2015
NDA exam is conducted twice in a year by UPSC (union public service commission) only for boys appearing or just cleared there intermediate or equivalent. NDA Exam is an objective type exam which consists of papers from subjects like Mathematics, English and General Awareness.
How to attempt NDA Exam
As we discussed in above section of “What is NDA Exam 2015” Only boys who are appearing or have appeared in class 12th can give NDA exam, provide they meet some perquisite criteria’s discussed in below section.
NDA exam 1 of 2015 is going to be conducted on 19th April as per the advertised notification released on 27th December 2014. Also, NDA exam 2 of 2015 notification will be released on 26th June and the exam will be conducted on 27th September. Readers can check the details in UPSC website.

16 ½ to 19 ½ years as of first day of the month in which course is due to commence.
What is NDA Exam 2015 Educational Qualification
- For Army wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy: A candidate must have passed 10+2 educational level with physics and mathematics subjects. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent can also apply.
What is NDA Exam 2015 Syllabus
NDA exam consist of two papers – Mathematics and General Ability
Mathematics: Algebra, Matrices and determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of two and three dimensions, differential calculus, Integral calculus and differential equations, Vector algebra, Statistics and Probability.
General Ability: English (Grammar and usage, vocabulary, comprehension and cohesion), General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, General science, History, Geography and Current affairs.
What is NDA Exam 2015 Application Procedure
Generally aspirants send us queries on “how to apply for NDA Exam? “. A candidate can apply for NDA exam online at www.upsc.gov.in.
There are two parts in filling NDA Exam application form, in part 1 registration basic information like – name, gender, parents name, address, marital status and nationality followed by the candidate’s preference in field of armed forces such as Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy.
In part 2 registration – candidate have to upload his passport size image and hand written signature image online followed by preference of test centers.

What is NDA Exam 2015 Application Fees
Candidates (excepting candidates/ Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2 in the notification who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee around Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/ Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
