10 Best Motivational Movies Every Defence Aspirant Must Watch

Each of us has watched at least one military-themed film in our lifetime, and many of us may even have a sizable library of them. These films undoubtedly have some kind of impact on our lives.

In essence, the objective of these films is to entertain audiences by dramatizing military operations. Both action and emotion are crammed into some of them.

Some military and war movies will give you a rush of adrenaline, some will make you cry, and the best can do both. Some of these stories are based on the lives and circumstances of real people during times of war.

Many of these films become cult classics and endure in our memories for years after their initial release. You know you’ve chosen the appropriate interest if you never get tired of watching military-themed movies if the major characters in these films excite you every time you watch them, and if you feel inspired and ready to emulate them.

There are some movies that have always been an inspiration to many of us and have caused us to yearn for uniforms and to join the defense forces. Some individuals even claim that a specific military movie was what caused them to enlist themselves.

LAKSHYA(2004)

The Indian military drama film “Lakshya,” which was released in 2004, is based on the film “The Story of the Karan Shergill” (the character has been essayed by Hrithik Roshan).

He lacks direction, is reckless, and is unsure of what he wants to do with his life. He is also an aimless man. In the film, a careless joke and a hurtful breakup turn him into a steely revolver. Later, he joins the Indian army, and from that point on, he never stops.

He has a target in mind and one Lakshya in his heart, and that is to protect his nation from anyone who would want to see it damaged. Any fan of the genre will find this film to be a complete package because of the 1999 Kargil War backdrop. The aspirant will undoubtedly be inspired by this film to enlist.

FULL METAL JACKET 

The plot follows a platoon of U.S. Marines as they undergo boot camp training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. The first half of the movie primarily focuses on privates J.T. Davis and Leonard Lawrence, also known by the nicknames Joker and Pyle, who struggle under the abusive guidance of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, their abusive drill instructor. During the Tet Offensive of the Vietnam War, the second half of the film depicts Joker’s and another Marine’s adventures in the Vietnamese cities of Da Nang and Hu. The full metal jacket bullet that soldiers employ is referenced in the title of the movie.

BORDER

The 1997 film BORDER is based on the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War battle of Logewala. Sunny Deol portrays Brigadier Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri, the commander of the company of the Punjab army, in the movie Border, which highlights his gallantry. The movie inspires young people to band together and instills a sense of patriotism for the country.

ACT OF VALOUR

An elite group of Navy SEALs embarks on a worldwide manhunt after its most recent mission reveals the existence of a deadly terrorist plan against the United States. The members of Bandito Platoon must strike a balance between their duty to their country and their dedication to their families at home as they scramble to halt an attack that might murder or maim thousands of American civilians. As they follow the terrorist network to the border between the United States and Mexico, every new piece of intelligence they uncover exposes a devastating plot twist.

As students at the United States Navy’s elite fighter weapons school compete to be best in the class, one daring young pilot learns a few things from a civilian instructor that are not taught in the classroom.

THE GHAZI ATTACK 

The film is based on the puzzling sinking of the PNS Ghazi in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. It is based on actual occurrences from the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. The movie tells the story of the bravery and patriotism of the crew members of the Indian submarine INS Karanj who sank the Pakistani PNS Ghazi underwater. Pakistan says that her own underwater mine destroyed the PNS Ghazi. The epilogue states that Pakistani fighters bomb Indian airfields the day following the Ghazi event, kicking off the 1971 Indo-Pak war for the liberation of Bangladesh.

BEHIND THE ENEMY LINES

Owen Wilson plays a Navy pilot who is shot down over enemy territory and fights to survive while being pursued mercilessly by a brutal secret police enforcer, a deadly tracker, and countless enemy soldiers. The injured pilot’s commanding officer (Gene Hackman) defies orders to launch a last-ditch rescue operation as time is running short.

LOC KARGIL 

The Kargil War, which was fought between India and Pakistan, is the subject of the Indian war film titled “LOC Kargil.”

The movie depicts a step-by-step account of how the Kargil war occurred, the primary cause of it, and how it ultimately played out. It is based on an accurate depiction of the 1999 India-Pakistan battle. Additionally, the film tells the touching tale of martyrs like Caption Vikram Batra and Manoj Pandey, who even did not recoil in the face of death for their nation.

1971

This film, which is also an Indian war film, came out in 2007. The 1971 Indo-Pak War Prisoners of War Real Story is the subject of the film. The film will undoubtedly provide a clear understanding of the conflict of 1971 and numerous more information.
