10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) 55 Notification
The Indian Army has officially released the TES 55 (Technical Entry Scheme) notification. The online registration for TES 55 started on 14 October 2025, and the last date to apply online is 13 November 2025.
This entry offers a valuable opportunity for unmarried male candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and wish to join the Indian Armed Forces as officers through a technical route.
Eligibility Criteria for TES 55
- Gender & Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- JEE (Mains) 2025: Appearing in JEE Mains 2025 is mandatory.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between 16½ and 19½ years as on 01 July 2026. That means candidates born between 02 January 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive) can apply.

Selected candidates through TES 55 entry will undergo training and later join the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun for pre-commission training.
Training Details
TES 55 training is of four years and is divided into two phases:
- Phase-I: Three years of Integrated Basic Military and Engineering Training at CME, Pune / MCTE, Mhow / MCEME, Secunderabad.
- Phase-II: One year of Military and Engineering Training at IMA, Dehradun or another designated Pre-Commission Training Academy (PCTA).
Selection Procedure
- Cut-off Shortlisting:
The Indian Army will publish a cut-off percentage for shortlisting candidates, tentatively in the first week of December 2025.
Those who meet the cut-off will be called for the TES 55 SSB Interview. - SSB Interview:
- Interviews will be conducted at Prayagraj (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka), and Jalandhar (Punjab).
- The interview process is expected to begin in February/March 2026.
- The SSB process consists of two stages:
- Stage 1: Screening Test
- Stage 2: Five-day detailed selection process for recommended candidates
- Candidates who clear Stage 2 proceed for a medical examination.
- Finally, a merit list is released, and joining is offered according to the order of merit.
