Defence Secretary Holds Interaction with Defence Industry

  • Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar held an interactive session on promoting Defence Exports with the stakeholders of the Defence Industry on 27 January 2022.  More than 500 Defence industries from across public and private sectors, including Industry Associations and Defence, Attaches from Indian Missions abroad participated in the session.

Prime Minister to Address NCC PM Rally At Cariappa Ground On 28 January

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the National Cadet Corps PM Rally at Cariappa Ground in Delhi on 28th January 2022 at around 12 Noon.
  • At the event, Prime Minister will inspect the Guard of Honour, review March Past by NCC contingents & also witness the NCC cadets displaying their skills in army action, slithering, microlight flying, parasailing as well as cultural programs. The best cadets will receive medals and baton from the Prime Minister.

‘Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Indian Navy’

  • The 17-year-old boy from Zido in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal was reportedly captured by PLA across the LAC on January 18.
  • Taron has been handed over to the Indian Army by Chinese PLA at Wacha-Damai (Kibithu) in Anjaw district on the eastern part of the state.

INS Sudarshini Celebrates 10th Anniversary

  • INS Sudarshini is a sail training ship built by Goa Shipyard Limited for the Indian Navy. The ship is a sister ship of INS Tarangini which was commissioned in 1997. “Sudarshini” means “beautiful lady Sundari”.
  • Sudarshini’s steel hull was launched on 25 January 2011 at the port town of Vasco da Gama, Goa on the west coast of India.
